We would love for you to join us! MDPPA is the state's largest organization for professional photographers and a go-to resource for everything you need to know to grow your knowledge and your business.
MDPPA offers three levels of membership to fit any photographer: Active, Studio, and Student. Most of our Members hold Active Memberships, while some are associates of Active Member's studios and therefore hold Studio Memberships. Student Membership is available to Maryland residents who are current, full-time students at a bona fide and accredited high school or college offering photographic training.
There are some variations in the benefits of each membership level; please see below. Our Membership Year begins on the date you join and is renewable each year.
MDPPA Membership Benefits Include:
All evening monthly meetings, including seminars, print competitions, and social events. We offer extended-day programs throughout the year at a special member price, some which offer attendees an opportunity to create their own images.
Quarterly digital print competitions to have your work reviewed and critiqued by Award Winning Photographers, most of whom are Master Photographers and many Certified Print Judges (April, July, and October, plus Annual at Convention).
Our Annual Print Competition and Convention: 2019 date TBD, (held during the 1st quarter of the year). Three days of intense training and education from some of the industry's leading professionals.
Eligibility for PPA's District Print Competition (Southeastern District).
Opportunities for PPA members to earn PPA Continuing Education Merits during MDPPA daylong programs.
A wonderful community of photographers who are fantastic resources for idea sharing, support, mentorship, and collaboration!
An End of the Year Celebration - time to unwind after a long year of serving our clients.

Active 1 Year - $250.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No recurring payments With this level of membership, you are paying in full upon joining or renewing, and receiving a discounted membership from $300 to $250. This level of membership is also eligible for the Early Bird discount of $25 up until 30 days before your renewal date!

Active Membership includes those photographers who:
Are proprietors of a business for the practice of professional photography or otherwise engaged in the business of professional photography and registered in the State of Maryland;
Manage established businesses registered in the state of Maryland for the practice of professional photography;
Head photographic departments used by and for industrial firms in the State of Maryland;
Are qualified photographic instructors or department heads in Maryland educational institutions offering two (2) or more years of post-high school photographic training; or
Maintain their places of business in adjacent states; or are beginning careers in professional photography.

Active Members are Eligible to:
-Enter Print Competitions for Score, Merits, and Awards
-Vote in Association Elections
-Run for a Board Position in Annual Elections
-Bring a Spouse or Significant Other to Events if that guest is not active in the photographic industry (and would not qualify for membership)

Active 1 Year - Monthly Payments - $25.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No recurring payments This membership level is a commitment for one Full Year Membership, payable in 12 payments of $25.00 monthly for one year, with an automatic credit card charge made on the 1st or 15th of each month. Two credit cards will be on file for this membership. This is a One Year Commitment for a total of $300. (This level of membership is not eligible for the Early Bird discount.)

Please read and agree to Terms of Agreement. If paid for in full when joining or renewing, receive a $50 discount - select Active Member- One Year.

Active Membership includes those photographers who:

Student 1 Year - $125.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No recurring payments Student Membership is available to Maryland residents, 18 years of age or older, or with parental or guardian consent, who are current, full-time students at a bona fide and accredited high school school or college offering two (2) years or more of post-high school photographic training.

Student members enjoy all the privileges and benefits of the Association, except those reserved exclusively for Active members. Student members may enter print competitions for Score Only and are not Voting Members, nor eligible to run for elected office in the Association.

Student members must apply each year for membership renewal with a maximum of four (4) years as a student member.

If you select this type of membership, please note that your application must be approved by the Membership Chair before your membership is active. The membership chair may contact you to review your application, after which you will be notified of your status as quickly as possible.

Studio 1 Year - $175.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No recurring payments Studio Membership includes photographers and others employed either full-time or part-time by Active, or Life members of the Association.

With this level of membership, you are paying in full upon joining or renewing, and receiving a discounted membership from $225 to $175.

Studio Membership includes photographers and others employed either full-time or part-time by Active, or Life members of the Association.

Studio Members enjoy all the privileges and benefits of the Association afforded an Active member.

If you select this type of membership, please note that your application must be approved by the Membership Chair before your membership is active. The membership chair may contact you to review your application, after which you will be notified of your status as quickly as possible.

Studio 1 Year - Monthly Payments - $18.75 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No recurring payments Studio Membership includes photographers and others employed either full-time or part-time by Active, or Life members of the Association.

This membership level is for one full year Studio Membership for $225, payable in 12 payments of $18.75 monthly for one year, with an automatic credit card charge made on the 1st or 15th of each month for 12 months. Two credit cards will be on file for this membership. Please read and agree to the Terms of Agreement. If paid for in full when joining or renewing, receive a $50 discount - select the membership level Studio 1 Year.

Studio Members enjoy all the privileges and benefits of the Association afforded an Active member.
