AI for Image Competition & Smarter Editing

The Photo Professor | Chris Wooley, M.Photog.Cr.,CPP

AI tools are changing the way photographers evaluate, refine, and finish their images. Used thoughtfully, they can help us see our work more clearly, improve our decision-making, and save time in the editing process.

In this 2.5-hour virtual workshop, we will explore practical ways to use ChatGPT for image competition support, including critique, feedback, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and crafting stronger image titles. We will also look at tools in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and other editing resources that can assist with retouching, cleanup, masking, selective adjustments, and workflow efficiency across multiple photographic genres.

This program is focused on using tools with intention. AI can be a helpful assistant, but it does not replace photographic judgment, craft, or authorship. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to use these tools to strengthen their images, improve their workflow, and make more deliberate finishing decisions.
